Qidi PET-CF

Qidi PET-CF is a composite filament made from PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) reinforced with chopped carbon fibers, engineered for strong, stiff, and dimensionally stable 3D printed parts. It offers an excellent combination of printability, mechanical strength, and thermal resistance, making it a versatile alternative to nylon-based carbon fiber composites — with less warping and easier handling.

Benefits

High stiffness and dimensional stability

Good heat resistance

Excellent chemical resistance

Lightweight yet strong

Limitations

Lower flexibility and impact resistance compared to unfilled PETG or nylon

Post-processing may fray fibers

Surface finish may be rough

Industries

Qidi PET-CF is commonly used in industrial design, prototyping, robotics, functional end-use parts, and mechanical fixtures. It’s especially favored in engineering applications that demand strength, stiffness, chemical resistance, and dimensional stability without the print difficulty of nylon-based carbon fiber composites. Typical parts include structural brackets, machine components, jigs, fixtures, drone frames, and housings where lightweight strength is critical.
